New to Vertex and the Base ecosystem?
No problem! Simply follow the steps in the video tutorial above to seamlessly create your Coinbase Smart Wallet directly on the Vertex app.
Steps to Create a Coinbase Smart Wallet on Vertex
Navigate to the Vertex on Base URL here -- https://link.vertexprotocol.com/base
Click on the "Connect a Wallet" button in the upper right-hand corner of the Vertex app.
Select the "Create One with Coinbase" button at the bottom of the pop-up window.
Click the "Sign Up" button on the next pop-up window.
Enter or create a passkey / PIN number for your Coinbase Smart Wallet to save on your device and / or your Apple or Microsoft account.
Click "OK" once your Passkey is saved.
Follow the prompt to read and agree to the Vertex Terms of Use.
Click on the "Start Trading" button once prompted.
You've now successfully connected your Coinbase Smart Wallet to Vertex!
Note: If you're prompted to turn on One-Click Trading, simply follow the prompts to turn on 1CT, which will allow you to sign one approval transaction at the start of your trading session and never sign again while still connected to Vertex.
If you created a Coinbase Smart Wallet, you will need to go through the "Advanced 1CT" button after depositing assets into Base in order to turn ON one-click trading.
