Trade & Earn VRTX & MNT rewards by trading on Vertex (Mantle).
Vertex on Mantle users can currently earn dual trading rewards in MNT and VRTX.
The parameters and distribution mechanism for both MNT and VRTX reward programs are detailed in the sections below.
MNT Trading Rewards
Simply trade on Vertex (Mantle) and earn a portion of the 900K MNT rewards over the next 12 weeks.
Total MNT Rewards Available = 900,000 MNT
Duration = 12 Weeks
Start Date = Monday, June 24th @ 13:00 UTC
The 900K MNT rewards are split between makers & takers and distributed as follows.
Total Available MNT Rewards (Takers) = 630,000 MNT
Total Available MNT Rewards (Makers) = 270,000 MNT
MNT Reward Distribution & Mechanism – Takers
The 630K MNT trading rewards available to Mantle takers are indexed and distributed based on the following epoch parameters:
Length of 1 Epoch = 1 Week
Number of Epochs = 12
Taker MNT rewards are calculated based on the trading fees paid by participants, with a maximum of 75% of the taker fee paid being returned as rewards.
Each week is considered an independent epoch (12 total), and rewards are distributed based on the activity within that epoch.
Total MNT Rewards Available per Epoch (1-Week) = 52,500 MNT
For example, if a trader pays $100 in taker fees in a given 1-week epoch, they can earn up to $75 in MNT rewards before the next epoch begins.
NOTE (06/24/24): MNT trading rewards for takers will be displayed on the Vertex (Mantle) front-end in the next couple of days. Indexing of MNT rewards is active and the first MNT trading rewards will be claimable on the rewards page of the app on Wednesday, July 3rd.
MNT Reward Distribution & Mechanism – Makers
The 270K MNT rewards available to makers are indexed and distributed based on the following epoch parameters:
Length of 1 Epoch = 28 Days
Number of Epochs = 3
MNT Maker Rewards are calculated based on the same criteria as the Vertex Maker Program.
The Vertex Maker Program for MNT is a rebate-based trading fee incentive program for price makers that contribute in excess of 0.25% of maker volume in a given epoch.

The minimum depth and maximum spreads per market are as follows:
Depth:
$25K for stables.
$5K for core markets (BTC & ETH).
$2.5K for alt markets (non-BTC & non-ETH).
Spreads:
10 bps for stable.
30 bps for core markets (BTC & ETH).
50 bps for alt markets (non-BTC & non-ETH).
VRTX Trading Rewards
VRTX Trading Rewards are now available on Vertex (Mantle) as well as Vertex (Arbitrum).

VRTX Rewards Distribution Mechanism-- Mantle
Each of the Arbitrum and Mantle instances for Vertex Edge have their own market specs and maker reward weights to support each blockchain’s native economy.
Total Reward Pool: There is a total amount of VRTX tokens allocated for rewards for each epoch (~28 days), which is then split between the two chains (Arbitrum & Mantle).
Dynamic Reward Allocation: The distribution of rewards is dynamically adjusted based on the activity and performance metrics of each chain.
Incentivization: This method aims to balance incentives across both chains, encouraging active participation and liquidity provision where it is most needed.
Examples:
More maker activity on Arbitrum via Edge = More VRTX maker rewards on Arbitrum.
More taker activity on Mantle via Edge = More VRTX taker rewards on Mantle.
Please Note:
The Rewards Page on Vertex (Arbitrum) will show Arbitrum-only VRTX rewards but will be the single location for users to claim rewards across all chains supported by Edge.
The Rewards Page on Mantle will display VRTX rewards specific to that chain.
Maker & Taker Reward Calculations -- VRTX
VRTX Maker Rewards
XVRTX will be given to makers on Arbitrum.Total / 2 - XVRTX will be given to makers on Mantle.
Maker Rewards Calculations:
X / (Total /2 - X) = sum(q_score, across products on Arbitrum) / sum(q_score, across products on Mantle)
VRTX Taker Rewards
YVRTX will be given to takers on Arbitrum.Total / 2 - YVRTX will be given to takers on Mantle.
Taker Rewards Calculations:
Y / (Total / 2 - Y) = Total Taker Fees on Arbitrum / Total Taker Fees on Mantle
Tutorial: Claiming VRTX Trading Rewards
Mantle users of Vertex Edge can immediately begin earning VRTX rewards by trading on the Mantle instance.
However, VRTX trading rewards are only claimable on Vertex (Arbitrum). Mantle users will be able to claim their first VRTX trading rewards the week after the Vertex on Mantle launch.
If you're trading on Vertex (Mantle), to claim your VRTX, simply:
-> Navigate to the [Earn] tab on the top navigation bar of the app.
-> Click on the [Switch to Arbitrum One] button.
-> You'll be prompted to switch networks directly in your wallet.
-> Claim your VRTX directly from the [Earn] page of the Vertex (Arbitrum) app during the next Epoch's claim period.
