Prize Tiers & Eligibility
The trading competition is is divided into two tiers, each with its own prize pool and eligibility criteria:
Tier 1
Prize Pool = 430,000 BENJI + 70,000 VRTX
Minimum Account Size = 40,000 BENJI
Minimum Trading Volume = $10,000
Total Winners = 15
Tier 2
Prize Pool = 200,000 BENJI + 25,000 VRTX
Minimum Account Size = 4,000 BENJI
Minimum Trading Volume = $1,000
Total Winners = 15
To qualify for either tier of the trading competition, users need to reach a minimum deposit amount of BENJI tokens greater than or equal to the minimum BENJI deposit requirement for each tier to qualify for prizes.
You can buy BENJI tokens directly on Vertex under the "Spot Markets" tab of the markets drop-down menu on the Vertex on Base trading console.
New Traders
New traders need to deposit a minimum amount of BENJI tokens to be eligible for prizes in each tier:
Tier 1 = 40,000 BENJI
Tier 2 = 4,000 BENJI
Existing Traders
If your Vertex on Base account already holds the minimum deposit of BENJI tokens for either Tier 1 (40,000 BENJI) or Tier 2 (4,000 BENJI) before the start of the trading competition, you’ll automatically be eligible once the competition begins.
If your BENJI balance does not surpass the minimum requirements, then you’ll need to deposit more BENJI to surpass the minimum requirement thresholds for either Tier 1 and / or Tier 2.
NOTE: If you initially meet the minimum BENJI deposit requirement for either Tier 1 and / or Tier 2 when the competition starts, but then your BENJI balance falls below the minimum requirement after the competition begins, you will still be eligible for the competition!
Rankings
Traders are ranked based on the best positive % PnL.
The positive % PnL (in USD) is calculated using the Modified Dietz Return Method which takes into consideration cash flows in and out of the account to calculate the trader's performance.

Prizes will be distributed directly to the winners' wallets connected to their participating Vertex on Base account shortly after the competition ends. Please note that prize distribution may take several days after reviewing and finalizing the results of the competition.
